Companion Cards

Reveal

The much-awaited first version of the Companion Cards will be launching at the Exhibition opening!

What are the Companion Cards?

Co-designed by healthcare professionals and people living with type 1 diabetes, the Companion Cards are a toolkit that makes a life-altering diagnosis approachable, less isolating and a whole lot more inviting than just another medical leaflet.

Whether you have recently been diagnosed or have been living with (or around) type 1 diabetes for some time, our striking Companion Cards are designed to cut through the information overload, prompt discussion and accompany you on your journey to living well with type 1 diabetes.

Be among the first to explore the Companion Cards while still in development.

Cut through the information overload and
get to the stuff that matters to you

Coming to terms with a chronic illness, especially an invisible one like type 1 diabetes, is a journey.

Learning about all the elements that go into managing a new life-long condition whilst also bringing your friends
and family along with you can cause a lot of
overwhelm, frustration and isolation.

This is where the Companion Cards come in.

Written in plain English with engaging illustrations, this toolkit invites people impacted by type 1 diabetes, their healthcare team and loved ones to break down barriers and connect - in a way that is clear, medically accurate, and (no less importantly) fun.
