Read the inspiration behind the print
For a very long time, people with Type 1 diabetes were given very strict diets and insulin regimens to follow in order to keep their blood sugar from going dangerously high or low.
In the last 10 years, thanks to modern insulins and technology like continuous or flash glucose monitors, people with type 1 diabetes can now eat what they want and even splurge on occasion – just as much as a someone without diabetes!
However, a very carb or fat heavy meal takes more diabetes math (more on that in the Riding the sugar wave set) but basically if we can carb count it, we can eat it. So yes, I can eat that donut, now that you mention it, I might just have two. So step aside, I'm packing needles.
